Sport Parents!
Raise happy and confident Athletes without the stress or guesswork!
Why do you need us?
Most parents feel unsure how to support their child in sport. The SUPER-P Approach is a research-backed method that helps you reduce stress, avoid common mistakes, and feel confident in your role.
Being a sport parent is one of the hardest jobs: you want to support your child but...
-
You don’t know if you’re saying the right thing before or after competitions.
-
You feel anxious watching them compete, unsure how to help.
-
You worry your support might be adding pressure, rather than helping them thrive.

What are the benefits of The Super P?
I understand because I’ve been there—as both a sport psychology researcher and a parent of an International Athlete. That’s why I created The SUPER-P Approach, a single online workshop that gives you everything you need to reduce your child’s anxiety, improve their performance, and feel confident in your role as their biggest supporter.
You don't have to guess anymore. Get the proven roadmap to sport parenting success.

REDUCED CHILD ANXIETY
Less pressure = more confidence = better performance
Parental behaviour directly impacts child anxiety: what you say and do before, during, and after competitions matters.
SUPER-P teaches you small but powerful shifts in communication and behaviour that create a calmer, more supportive environment.
Proven by research: Child athletes whose parents follow SUPER-P show significantly less worry and stress in competition.

BETTER SPORTING EXPERIENCE
More confidence = more joy = a sport experience that strengthens your bond
No more guesswork or second-guessing. SUPER-P gives you clear, research-backed guidance.
You feel more relaxed, reassured, and confident in your role as a sport parent.
Your child notices the shift, they feel your support in a way that motivates them rather than pressures them.

IMPROVED COMPETITION RESULTS
Less stress = more enjoyment = better results
Research shows that happier, less anxious athletes perform better. SUPER-P helps you create that environment.
Parental behaviour can either fuel or reduce performance anxiety. Learn the strategies that lead to calm, focused, and confident performances.
When kids feel safe to fail and grow, they take more risks, leading to higher levels of skill development and competition success.

IMPROVED COMMUNICATION
Better communication = stronger trust = a better parent-athlete relationship
Saying the right things opens the door to better conversations.
Many parents unintentionally shut down communication with well-meaning but unhelpful comments. SUPER-P teaches you what actually works.
Once your child feels heard and supported, they start talking and sharing their thoughts, struggles, goals more openly.
You don't know what you don't know
Sport parents are left to figure things out on their own—no training, no guidance, no support. Unlike other areas of parenting, where help is readily available, in youth sport, you’re expected to just know what to do. And so, like most parents, you carry on thinking you’ve got this, believing education isn’t necessary.
In fact Jen's research showed that ONLY 13% of sport parents thought they needed support and education. After they took my SUPER-P Course, 95% said it was invaluable. You can continue unsupported, hoping you're saying the right things, watching your child struggle, unaware of the impact of your words and body language and feeling helpless on the side lines.
Or, you can take action today, feel reassured in your role, and watch your child thrive in sport. The choice is yours.
What happens on a Super P Workshop?
For Sport Parents with kids in Competitive Sport
The SUPER-P workshop is a research-backed, practical, and eye-opening experience designed to help sport parents reduce their child's anxiety, improve communication, and create a positive sporting experience.
The Power of Parents in Youth Sport
We begin by exploring sport psychology research that highlights the critical role parents play in their child’s sporting journey. We share insights from Jen's research into what children actually need and want from their parents in sport—findings that have made a huge impact in the youth sport world.
Understanding the Impact of Parental Behaviour
Through real-life stories (including our own experiences as a sport parent), we show how well-meaning actions can unintentionally cause stress, anxiety, and pressure for young athletes. This isn’t about blame—it’s about simple, positive changes that make a huge difference.
Introducing the SUPER-P Approach
We teach parents the SUPER-P framework, a clear, easy-to-remember system that provides practical strategies for:
-
Reducing your child's anxiety
-
Improving your support and communication
-
Helping your child thrive in sport at any age, level, or discipline
-
Feeling more relaxed, reassured, and confident as a sport parent
Applying SUPER-P in Real Life
We explore each element of SUPER-P in depth, looking at practical ways to apply it in daily sporting life. Parents reflect on their own experiences, challenges, and stresses, and we provide tailored guidance to help them navigate their journey.
A Positive, Supportive Space for Sport Parents
Being a sport parent is incredibly hard, and this workshop acknowledges that. It’s a safe space to feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes—without guilt or judgment.
At the end of the workshop, 95% of parents report feeling more relaxed, reassured, and confident in their role. The strategies you learn will grow with you and your child, helping you navigate every stage of their sporting journey with confidence.
Frequently asked questions
What Parents said about their SUPER-P experience:
Super-P is a cleverly put together, interesting approach that makes a lot of sense, plus it comes from someone who actually has a child athlete herself. It’s a practical parenting framework that is very easy to implement.
The training really made me think about certain things (food, nutrition and sleep) and I’m interested to learn more about aspects of life that can really help our girls inside and outside of training. Thank you for thinking about the role of parents of child athletes, it’s really important that we get it right for them.
This is a fantastic programme, providing well-researched and insightful advice for any parent supporting a child athlete.
Jen is knowledgable and articulate, and has created a set of strategies to empower and reassure parents in a context where there is otherwise lots of pressure, and little guidance.
It has helped me, and therefore also my daughter, enormously, and I feel very lucky to have found it.
I didn’t realise I was saying the wrong things to help my child keep feeling confident. It was silly little things I would talk about which seemed encouraging but it wasn’t!
This course is very interesting and after listening to everything said I then understood were I was going wrong.
If you would like help supporting your athlete then I would highly recommend this course.
